Shonen Shojo is an assamblage of Satoshi Fukushima's short stories. The only thing the 28 chapters really have in common is that they revolve around the relation between male and female, mainly boys and girls.


Each story experimates with completely new topics. There may be young musicians, football playing girls, aliens, popstars, samurai, yakuza, seniors or even caries bacteria.


Anyhow some of the stories are continued. What one could call the main story (because there is one episode in each volume) is telling of the girl Yoshiko who has pushed her friend into a deep fountain. Unfortunately this boy dies in this accident and Yoshiko now feels guilty towards the boy's younger brother Goro. In some time steps the reader is following their uncertain relationship.


Despite the name, Shonen Shojo is not a book for children. Often the stories end abruptly and leave a lot of space for interpretations.

In a country where women rule supreme lives a poor but happy boy named Albert. An excursion to the city turns dangerous when he and his friend are abducted by slave traders, and later purchased by a noblewoman's servant. If this wasn't crazy enough, it turns out Albert looks exactly like the noblewoman who purchased him. But she's no ordinary aristocrat. She's a princess! And he's to act as her double from today on!?

The story takes place in approximately the year 3000, when humankind arrived at the peak of its civilization, but is loosing it's will to keep living. It follows a girl, called "princess" by those around her, living on a small island with a fifty person colony and a shinning coral reef. She is descendant of Moon people, and it focuses upon how her ancestors supposedly came to Earth.

In the former kingdom of Morrigan, countless lives were lost due to war and rebellion alike. When women usurped all positions of power, new laws dictated that only they could earn income and receive inheritances, while men lost the majority of their rights and were reduced to mere objects of scorn. Morrigan became a queendom wrapped in an illusory peace. Outside of the royal court, especially, the people continued to suffer; however, now the men were subjected to the worst of the pain and humiliation.


Albert is a young orphan living near Morrigan's harbor. One day, despite warnings from his guardian Martha, he and his friend Theodore head toward the town's center to observe preparations for the Queen's birthday festival. Unsurprisingly, as they are boys unaccompanied by an adult, they are captured by slave traders and immediately readied to be sold. An elegantly dressed man offers an exorbitant price in order to purchase them both—though he clearly displays a preference for Albert.


Introducing himself as Guy Schwarzwald, the man transports Albert and Theodore to a palace where they are to meet their new master. Albert is unsure what surprises him more—that he is now the property of Princess Alexia Lumiere, heir apparent to the throne, or that somehow she looks exactly like him!

Shounen Oujo began serialization in Sylph in March, 2011, after which it transferred to the Comic it magazine and continued to be serialized from 2015 to 2017. Comic it was discontinued in February, 2018, and since then, this series has been on indefinite hiatus. In December, 2018, the author Utako Yukihiro posted on Twitter that it has been difficult to get the serialization restarted, but she is hopeful that this title will return one day.


Shounen Oujo has been published in German as Mimic Royal Princess by Carlsen Manga since February 25, 2014.

However, attacked by pirates in the Caribbean Sea, his boat is capsized. Takonosuke and some survivors are given half of Napoleon's treasure map from the British pastor Picar. But they are swallowed and scattered by a powerful tornado, and blown away to the Nevada Desert.


In the Nevada town, a bar owner, Ham Egg finds out about this story, and searches for the owner of the map. Outlaw Wild Bill Hecock, a mysterious gentleman, Count Monte Christ and others appear successively, causing a great deal of commotion over the treasure map.

The story tells about Hiroshi Shiba, a car racer who is mortally wounded on a laboratory accident, but restored to life by his father, Professor Shiba, a talented scientist/archeologist, who is incidentally investigating the relics of the ancient Yamatai Kingdom. The professor discovers a tiny bronze bell with sorcerous powers, and shortly afterwards he is murdered by the henchmen of Queen Himika, the ruler of the Yamatai (sometimes translated as Jamatai) Kingdom, who wants to seize the ancient bell and its power.

The series, set in the Heian era, Abe no Masahiro is the grandson of the great onmyōji, Abe no Seimei. Seimei, who passed his teachings on to his grandson, Masahiro who has lost his sixth sense and the ability to see spirits. Masahiro constantly feels resentful for being in his grandfather's shadow.


Even so, one day, Masahiro meets a fox-like creature which he names Mokkun, who shows him his true potential powers after fighting a demon. Mokkun is actually Toda who prefers to be called Guren. He is one of the twelve shikigami called the Shinsho, who has pledged his loyalty to Seimei and is helping Masahiro to surpass his grandfather.

Masahiro's dream to surpass his grandfather may not be realised easily as not only does he have to convince the other Shinshō that he is Seimei's true successor, he must also increase his power in order to stop demons coming from China, the other parts of Japan and the Underworld as well as rival onmyōji's who want to destroy Japan. He also has to keep his promise to protect Princess Akiko of the Fujiwara clan.

Even though he doesn't want to go, he agrees to do so when his mother offers him a mountain bike. Ayumu used to live in Tana before, and now his memories of the time are shrouded in mystery - apparently something happened when he was a child. Enter Miku, a young girl who knows more than she tells, weird glowing lights floating around, reflections of UFOish objects in the eyes of cats and dogs, a nosy female announcer, a forest with a mysterious past, and a weird boy called Wakkun, who wears the clothes Ayumu used to when he was a child, and you get the world of Zettai Shonen, where mysteries remain mysteries amidst a slow, normal, everyday life.

The first chapter starts out with Ichikawa, who mysteriously has a shounen manga show up on her torso each week, a malady she shares with her male classmate, manga-fan Aoi. The second girl, Kawamura, notices that a boy in her class is suddenly being duplicated!

In order to defeat Tirano and also find his real mother, Ryuu decides to set off on his own journey. In the midst of his travels, he meets the siblings Ran and Don. With his new-found companions, Ryuu begins his battle against hardships and obstacles.

Shiki Toono awakens in a hospital to find the walls and people around him covered in black lines.
